his Bible is privately owned. Photocopies were sent to me by LCGS member Joan Troemner.
The photocopies show the inscriptions being on three blank pages before the title page.
The Bible is medium format, printed in Danish. The bottom of the title page is torn away, so the publishing date is unknown.
In addition to the inscriptions, a newspaper obituary of Annie (Christensen) JENSEN is pasted into the Bible, and that is also transcribed here. See also the collection of photographs of people connected to this family.

Mrs. Jensen had been in frail health for some time past, but was critically ill a short time. She was 82 years of age. Mrs. Jensen was born in Denmark, and came to this village to reside with her husband, but after a number of years, in 1887, Mr. Jensen then only 32 years of age, passed away. The deceased was left with a family of four little boys, a stranger in a new country, unable to even speak the English language. However with her marvellous perseverance she soon grasped the English language and the mode of living here. She won too, for herself, many friends who felt honored with the acquaintance of this brave little woman. A year after the death of her husband, her five-year-old son Arnold, was drowned here, and some time later another boy Alfred, passed away. Her two remaining sons, she educated in the village. They both remain to mourn her loss, Mr. Peter Jensen, station agent at Carleton Place and Joseph Jensen of Gadsby, Alta., at whose home she had been residing. She first went West to live with her son at Cochrane, and later, Gadsby. There are also five grandchildren. The remains were brought to the Union Church here on Tuesday of this week, where the funeral services were conducted at two p.m. at which the old neighbors and friends of the deceased were present. Rev. H. A. Turner, pastor of the church, officiated, assisted by Rev. R. Vatcher of Zion Church, Carleton Place. Interment was in the Union Cemetery. The pallbearers were W.W. Millar, Maxwell Smith, Wm. Dickson, Percy Groves, L.A. Mayne and William Scott. Mrs Jensen resided in the village over 30 years and sincerely won the respect and admiration of the community by her dauntless courage, kind nature and keen sense of humor. Many floral offerings were received.
