LCGS Memberships run from January to December and the annual due date for renewal is January 2nd of each year.
Any new member joining after January receives the back issues of the current year’s newsletters. The one exception is for those joining in November or December — their membership is extended for the next year.
2024 LCGS membership annual fee schedule
New membership categories for 2024 are:
- Individual membership is $35.00
- Family membership is $45.00 same household address
- Student membership is $15.00 with confirmed registration at an accredited educational facility
- Institutional membership is $50.00 (libraries, societies, charity organizations, and corporations)
Membership includes an email subscription or postal subscription to the LCGS newsletter (6 issues per year) and the opportunity to place your family research interests in the newsletter.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Online — once you have completed the attached form and sent your email to us, we will send you an invoice directly to your email address from our Bank Account Application that allows you to pay by credit card or online banking directly.
Wire / E-Transfers completed by email transfer from the purchaser’s bank account to the LCGS Bank: use this email lcgspresident@gmail.com
Mail — Download, Complete and Print the Membership Form and mail it with your cheque or money order (in Canadian funds).

Lanark County Genealogical Society is a registered charity. Only donations to LCGS beyond the annual membership fees are tax-deductible. Receipts will be issued automatically for donations of $25.00 and over; receipts for amounts between $10.00 and $24.99 will be sent only on request.
