The owner says: “These names came from the Bible of John Erasmus DUKE, born Feb. 11, 1824, Clune, Leitrim, Ireland; d. April 19, 1888. He was the son of Sgt. Francis DUKE and Elizabeth GILLAND who came to Canada July 4, 1830 with their family and settled on Lot 2, Con. 7 in Marlborough Twp.”
