Volunteers for the Genealogy Resource Centre

The Resource Centre is operated by group of volunteers, and no one receives a salary. There is no budget for the Centre’s activities and volunteers are not reimbursed for expenses related to their involvement. You can make a donation to celebrate a milestone achievement, graduation, birthday, anniversary, and wedding, in memory of a loved one or just to say “Hello”.

Monetary donations should be sent by mail to our postal address below. A letter will be sent on your behalf extending your good wishes, whatever the occasion.  To facilitate this, please indicate the occasion and the name and address of the individual being honoured when making your donations. For In Memoriam donations, please also provide the name and address of the family involved so we can send them a letter.

To Donate Historical Material

The LCGS Resource Centre also accepts donations of printed and electronic historical material and information, including family histories, books, family bibles, scrapbooks, as they pertain to Lanark County.

In some cases, the materials you wish to donate may be better suited for Archives Lanark repository. In that instance, the Genealogy Resource Centre will make a recommendation and put you in touch with the appropriate person to discuss adding the records to Archives Lanark.
